Dr Hwang appointment confirmation

Even though I was told Dr Hwang was on leave, I received an email from his receptionist advising that I was booked in for an appointment the following morning at 9 AM. My heart sank as I read the message - this was not a good sign. I couldn’t shake the feeling that the urgency meant my situation was more serious than I wanted to believe.

I had been hoping for more time to prepare mentally for what lay ahead, but this sudden appointment felt like a rush towards an uncertain future. The fact that Dr Hwang's office had scheduled me so quickly added to the weight on my shoulders.

As I prepared for the next day, my mind raced with questions. What would Dr Hwang say? Would we finally get clarity on what the lesion meant? The uncertainty loomed over me, making it hard to focus on anything else.

[Ros] The Dr advised that a biopsy would be done to confirm the type of cancer, grade and that would determine the urgency of any surgery options etc. Dr Hwang advised that depending on the results of the biopsy that likely a referral to a surgeon would be needed. Having Dr Lee ring (whilst on holidays) and Dr Hwang coming in specially for Jim in the middle of his holidays told me this was serious and there was a sense of urgency about the way the two doctors worked together to get follow up tests done. It all seemed so surreal and Jim was calm on the outside, I was pretty emotional for the two of us, just wanting to know what it all meant, so Dr Google got a flogging and was not my friend.
