Turning passion into purpose: Supporting pancreatic cancer research

When I was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, my world changed in ways I never imagined. Like many, I had heard of pancreatic cancer but didn't fully grasp the grim reality of its statistics. I knew early detection wasn't common, but as I delved deeper into the research, I was shocked to learn just how low those numbers really are. It felt like a punch to the gut - a realisation of how elusive and deadly this disease can be.

That’s why, during this challenging time, I've chosen to focus on supporting pancreatic cancer research. I believe in the importance of funding research that can improve early detection, which in turn can give more people the fighting chance they deserve. It’s not just about my journey - it's about creating hope for others who may face the same battle.

In November, I’m donating $5 from each t-shirt sold on my website, funkyprints.com.au, directly to support the incredible work of PanKind, a foundation dedicated to pancreatic cancer research. PanKind’s mission to increase survival rates and support those affected aligns with my own hopes for a brighter future.
